Follow six steps to find your guide’s voice.

1. 1. Get the QR for this commentary from your guide

   Ask your guide to show the current Live Guide QR. This QR is the entry point for joining the tour network and commentary; it is not the agency QR used to activate a guide, and it is not personal-account sign-in.

   Scan only the QR your guide provides on site. The QR icon on this website is illustrative only and cannot join any tour.

2. 2. Open the App’s scan entry

   On the welcome screen, select “Scan QR Code”, or in Traveler Live Guide select “Scan QR”, then point the camera at the Guide’s QR. Allow camera access.

   Opening the scanner does not mean you have joined. Invalid, unknown, or v1-only QR codes are rejected; ask your guide to confirm the QR.

3. 3. Confirm the tour WiFi connection request

   A valid QR saves the tour context first, then moves to the WiFi step. If Android shows a connection request, follow the phone’s prompt to confirm the corresponding tour WiFi.

   A WiFi “No Internet” message does not mean local guiding cannot work. First check that you are still on the correct tour network; do not switch to another WiFi solely because of this message.

4. 4. Wait while the App finds the Guide and joins

   The App shows “Finding the Guide session…” and “Joining Live Guide…” according to its status. Your guide must be ready, and you must be on the same interoperable network.

   Saving the tour does not mean you are connected; connecting to WiFi does not mean you have joined. Check the App’s actual status for this attempt.

5. 5. Listen, and confirm sound on your phone

   Use “Listen” according to the App’s current status. Once joined, check “Speaker On”/“Speaker Off”, media volume, and headphone output to confirm that you can actually hear the guide.

   Turning off the speaker only stops local playback; it does not mean leaving. If there is no sound, first confirm that the guide is playing and the microphone is not muted.

6. 6. When this commentary ends, wait for the next one

   When the guide ends it, you may see “This commentary has ended. Waiting for your guide.” You can keep the tour and wait for the next commentary. “Leave Session” leaves this commentary; “Leave Tour” clears the saved tour and stops related activity.

   After reopening the App, you must obtain the network, find the Guide, and join again; an old success status is not evidence of a new connection.
